Xploring the weekend

"On the Xplore weekend I have experienced, once again, the joy of sharing life with others. To spend time together learning, struggling, laughing, singing, praying, eating and sharing, in the name of Jesus, is a privilege and an experience of worship that restores me. I know that through the teaching and discussion I have been pushed forward and sent back to my home, ready once again to carry on living my life for the glory of God and be a part of His Kingdom coming in the lives of those around me, who are far from Him."

"A fun moment. Its got to be Ian's confession of his appalling dating habits. Feel the shame."

From Bollywood to Eden

"The Bollywood night with Kinder was amazing! Such hospitality and so much fun! I think that night is just what we all needed! Also, it was great to go and meet some of the guys living in Fir Vale who are part of the Eden Project. I loved how they knew their community and loved it as well. I think the way they showed us their mission and sharing how they were trying to live like Jesus was very relatable."

Making mission tangible at home

"Its hard to sum up this weekend as so much seemed to happen in such a short time!

However it was great banter and I loved getting to know everyone better. It was so encouraging

to hear the stories from the other online Xplore groups about how people are getting on.

The teaching was thought provoking and has made me think about the way I approach mission

but also equipped me with useful tools to put into practice. Sunday's visit to the Eden project

demonstrated a different but equally effective form of mission and prompted me to think about

incarnational mission at home.

The food was fantastic, as was the craic. However i'm not entirely sure Neville has the right to

claim 'supremo' title at monopoly deal! Some of the moments I learnt the most from were actually

just through conversations with the rest of Xplore at different points in the weekend.

If only it was longer than a weekend!"
